The Lab

About
Located in the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital next to UMC Utrecht and the Princess Maxima Center (pediatric oncology center), the lab benefits from access to diverse clinical samples, enhancing translational research opportunities across diseases and enabling close collaboration with clinicians to improve diagnostics and patient outcomes.
The lab is part of the Center for Translational Immunology (CTI), which brings together leading immunology expertise to conduct all immunological disease research at University Medical Center Utrecht.
The CTI provides access to state-of-the-art core facilities aimed at high quality and continuous innovation, such as microscopy (Stellaris 5, Incucyte S3, 2-photon, Thunder), Flow cytometry (Canto II, Aria II/III, LSR Fortessa, Astrios, Imagestream), Spectral flow cytometry (BD A5 SE), Bioinformatics and Sequencing facility, among others.
Lab Culture:
In our lab, we are dedicated to creating an open and collaborative environment that drives both scientific excellence and personal growth. Conducting research in collaboration promotes a faster pace and higher quality compared to individual research efforts, allowing us to make meaningful progress together. By offering space, freedom, and opportunities, we enable each team member to nurture and expand their unique talents, fostering an environment where both team science and individual skills can thrive. Furthermore, we are committed to supporting career development, equipping everyone with the tools and guidance they need to reach their full potential.
