Emma and Margot Begin Their Thesis Research Projects

We’re excited to welcome two new thesis students to our research group: Emma and Margot, who have just kicked off their 10-week research projects as part of their Biomedical Sciences training.

Over the coming weeks, they’ll dive deep into their own research topics, combining a focused literature review with some hands-on lab training. This structure gives them the opportunity not only to explore immunology research, but also to experience practical skills at the bench.

Emma will explore the fascinating world of T cells in early life, challenging the traditional view that these cells are simply “immature.” Instead, her work will highlight how early-life T cells are uniquely programmed and functionally distinct.

Margot will focus on therapeutic strategies targeting tertiary lymphoid structures, with a special emphasis on the emerging potential of lipid nanoparticles as a delivery platform.

It’s great to have Emma and Margot join the group, and we look forward to following their progress over the coming weeks.
