Successful MSCA-DN Consortium Meeting in Utrecht

Over the past three days, many partners of our TISSUE consortium travelled to Utrecht to meet face-to-face and work together on an ambitious goal: shaping the future training of early-career scientists in tissue immunology.

It was a great opportunity to bring together colleagues from several of our partner institutions and to strengthen the connections within our growing international consortium. The wider TISSUE network brings together expertise from across Croatia, Italy, Sweden, the Netherlands, the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Portugal, Spain, Belgium and New Zealand, creating a truly international environment for training the next generation of tissue immunologists.

During the meeting, we made excellent progress in shaping both the training program and scientific goals of our Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network proposal. We discussed how to build an interdisciplinary and international training environment that combines cutting-edge science with opportunities for early-career researchers to develop new skills, collaborations and perspectives.

A big thank you to everyone who travelled to Utrecht and contributed so enthusiastically to the discussions. Three days of intensive discussions, scientific exchange and plenty of good conversations have brought us another step closer to turning our ideas into an exciting training network.

Looking forward to the next steps — and hopefully to many more opportunities to meet in person.
